Group equipment by duty
Electric motors, slow conveyors, pumps, and open pins do not share the same speed and load profile. Create application groups before standardizing plant grease.
Account for humidity and water
High humidity, rain exposure, and washdown increase corrosion and washout risk. Check water resistance, rust protection, seals, and relubrication after cleaning.
Standardize carefully
Reducing the number of greases can improve control, but only after checking viscosity, thickener compatibility, temperature, speed, load, and OEM requirements for every grouped point.
